Main Library
Our free computer classes utilize desktop PCs and run Microsoft Windows 7 Professional.
Workshop attendees will become familiar with the new, mosaic look of Microsoft Windows 8’s Modern user interface. Bring your Microsoft Windows 8 laptop or Surface tablet if you have one.
In this class participants will learn to create a document using Microsoft Word 2010. We will explore tools on Microsoft’s Ribbon like Spell Check and Grammar Check as well as review how to print and save documents.
This class will introduce participants to the components of a computer along with basic keyboard and mouse skills.
You’ve heard of the cloud, but what is it? Participants in this session will look at several cloud based applications and learn how easy and convenient cloud computing can be.
This workshop will cover how to use Microsoft Word to easily create a professional looking resume with basic formatting tools. Students must have basic Word skills to attend this workshop.
This workshop will introduce participants to the Microsoft Windows and navigating between different programs.
Participants will learn how to use some of the most popular social media networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook.
In this workshop participants will learn to find, save, copy, move and delete files and folders using the Microsoft Windows application, File Explorer.
Participants will learn to compose, send and receive email messages. The class will cover different email providers and basic email security.
This workshop will help participants feel comfortable with the basic functions of a tablet.
Patrons will learn how to attach a file to an email using Yahoo, Gmail or Outlook/Hotmail. This session will also cover how to send a resume to potential employers or a picture or song to a friend.
