Construction activities to landscape a section of State Road 10 (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway) at the Florida/Alabama state line is scheduled to be underway the week of July 20. Workers will begin installation of a selection of trees along the corridor.
The project is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Bold Vision for Landscaping: Investing in landscaping conservation and highway beautification. This low-maintenance project will provide a memorable vision of Florida for visitors and residents. Drivers are reminded to use caution and to obey the posted speed limit when traveling through the work zone.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone, especially at night, and to watch for construction equipment and traffic flaggers entering and exiting the roadway.
