Turn Lane Construction on Fairfield Drive at 69th Avenue

Published Jul 8, 2015

A safety improvement project to install a westbound, left turn lane at the intersection of State Road 727 (Fairfield Drive) and North 69th Avenue in Escambia County will begin the week of July 10. Motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions and a lane shift with 10-foot lanes in each direction.

Variable message signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming change in traffic pattern. Work on the $239,900 project will take approximately three months to complete.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone, especially at night, and to watch for construction equipment and traffic flaggers entering and exiting the roadway.
