Health Alert for Navy Point and Bayou Chico Rescinded

Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is rescinding the health alert for the following beaches in Escambia County, Florida:

  • Bayou Grande, Navy Point - North of Sunset Avenue Bridge
  • Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park

Follow-up sampling of the affected area indicates an adequate reduction in bacteria levels. FDOH-Escambia will continue to monitor the water quality in this area and advise the public based on the results.
