The Florida Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing improvements along three state roads in Escambia County beginning the week of June 8, 2015.
Resurfacing along State Road (S.R.) 295 (New Warrington Road) will extend from New Warrington Spur to S.R. 10A (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway). Additional improvements include replacement of broken concrete slabs, cleaning concrete joints and constructing short sections of paved shoulders.
Improvements along a section of S.R. 294 (Chief’s Way) include resurfacing the existing asphalt and rehabilitating the concrete portion, as well as upgrading the roadway to meet current standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) from New Warrington Road to U.S. 98/Navy Boulevard. Motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions and a temporary detour during the concrete work on Chief’s Way.
Crews will also resurface the portion of S.R. 30 (U.S. 98/Navy Boulevard) from New Warrington Road to north of Dewitt Road, as well as the addition of paved shoulders, construction of ADA improvements, signalization upgrades and placement of ADA new signs and pavement markings. Crews are anticipated to begin working on the area along New Warrington Road from New Warrington Spur to U.S. 90 first.
