The West Florida Public Library System offers a free Summer Reading Club for ages 0 to 17. This year’s theme is Every Hero Has a Story. Sign up until July 18 to play the game and read to win prizes. Visit your local library location each week for events through July which encourage a love of reading.
- Week of June 8 - Mike Artell, humorous author, illustrator and cartoonist
- Week of June15 - Michelle’s Magical Poodles, fun and quirky tricks
- Week of June 22 - Reno’s Reptiles, a slithering zoo of reptilian thrills
- Week of June 29 - Bucky & GiGi, fast-paced physical comedy and circus skills
All events are free and will be held at the following times and locations.
- Southwest Branch events take place at Big Lagoon State Park on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Show your library card for free all day park access.
- Westside Branch events take place at the Main Library on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
- Century Branch events take place on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
- Main Library events take place on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
- Molino Branch events take place on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Tryon Branch events take place on Thursdays at 3 p.m.
