Corrections Officers Honored at Special BCC Meeting

The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners held a Special Meeting Thursday to honor 37 corrections officers who were on duty during the April 29, 2014 jail explosion. The Board Chambers were standing room only as family and friends showed their support while each officer was given a plaque in honor of their service.
