RESTORE Advisory Committee Meeting May 4

Published May 4, 2015

The RESTORE Advisory Committee will hold its regular meeting today, May 4, at 4 p.m., at the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners Chambers (221 Palafox Place).

During the April 16 BCC RESTORE meeting, the County commission directed the RESTORE Advisory Committee to re-review the proposed selection criteria for future RESTORE projects. The committee will discuss possible revisions to the draft selection criteria and provide a recommendation back to the BCC for adoption.

The meeting will feature a presentation by Dewberry on proposed changes to the selection criteria based on the BCC’s comments, specifically regulatory compliance and leveraging of funds. The committee will also receive a presentation by Robert Turpin, Marine Resources Division Manager for Escambia County, who will cover seafood promotion and recreational fishing in Escambia County, and by Erin Deady regarding Federal Procurement.

Copies of the proposed revisions and other agenda materials can be found at: www.myescambia.com/restoreFor more information regarding the RESTORE Advisory Committee’s mission, its members, a complete listing of upcoming regularly scheduled board meetings and more, visit myescambia.com/restore or contact Felicia Knight at (850) 595-4988 and follow @EscambiaRESTORE on Twitter.
