Grand Re-Opening Ceremony Held for Regency Park

Published May 1, 2015

Escambia County recently hosted a grand re-opening of Regency Park (8245 Fathom Rd.) on Wednesday, April 29. The event was free and open to the public, with children and families in attendance.

Enhancements to Regency Park include an enlarged parking lot, improved drainage design, as well as a 577 yard resurfaced asphalt walking track. The park will also feature a new, modern playground with ADA compliant fall surface, five exercise stations, resurfaced basketball court and new pavilion for family events.

Located in the Northpointe subdivision, the $400,000 redesign of the park began in May 2014, funded by the County’s Local Option Sales Tax (LOST III). The Local option Sales Tax currently funds many County-wide projects and initiatives, including recreational, community redevelopment, infrastructure, public facilities and natural resource preservation.
