TOMORROW: Save 27% on Overdue Traffic Tickets and Court Costs

Published Apr 17, 2015

There are over 80,000 cases in Escambia County that have been sent to a collection agency for non-payment of court costs and fines, with approximately $59 million in unpaid court costs, fines and fees. For one day only, Pam Childers, Escambia County Clerk of Court and Comptroller, is opening to the public for “Operation Green Light,” offering convenient Saturday hours.

This special program allows anyone with an Escambia County traffic ticket, misdemeanor case or felony case assigned to a collection agency to pay their court costs and fines in full without paying the 27 percent collections surcharge. This statewide event could also allow customers to reinstate suspended drivers licenses once they have paid in full their outstanding obligations in all counties.
