Students Encouraged to Show Creative Side for ECAT Youth Art Contest

Escambia County Area Transit announced the First Annual ECAT Youth Art Contest. The contest is open to all students, pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, in Escambia County. Students are asked to submit artwork that depits their interpretation of transit in Escambia County for a chance to win prizes, including the grand prize of having their artwork displayed on the exterior of an ECAT bus.

Participants can create their artwork on paper or poster board that is 11"x17" or smaller using any medium. ECAT will provide paper at no cost to the student if needed (one per student).

Submissions from area students will be accepted at ECAT's main office, 1515 W. Fairfield Drive, during business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday) through May 8. To learn more about contest rules and guidelines, visit goecat.com or call (850) 595-3228.
