Deadline Approaching for \For the Love of Brownsville\" Juried Arts Competition"

The Escambia County Community Redevelopment Agency reminds artists of the April 10 deadline for entries to the “For the Love of Brownsville” Juried Art Competition and Exhibit at the Celebrating Brownsville Festival.

All submittals will be placed on the exhibit at the Celebrating Brownsville Festival on Saturday, April 25 and entered into the contest to become part of the ongoing Celebrating Brownsville Urban Art Mural Project. Selected artwork will be reproduced and installed on the streets of Brownsville.

Don’t miss the unveiling of the winning artwork from the “For the Love of Brownsville” Juried Art Exhibition at 2 p.m. on the day of the event.

Additional upcoming deadlines include:

  • Vendor Registration: Monday, April 6
  • Entertainer Registration: Monday, April 6

About the Festival

The 2nd Annual Celebrating Brownsville Festival featuring the “For the Love of Brownsville” Juried Art Exhibition will take place on Saturday, April 25, from noon-4 p.m. at 3300 Mobile Highway in Pensacola. In the event of rain, the event will be held at the Brownsville Community Center located at 3100 West Desoto Street.

This community arts event will also feature an art show, local artists, crafters, food, children’s activities and live performances. This event serves as a revitalization effort to support the Brownsville Redevelopment District. Come enjoy the art and entertainment and support this community redevelopment initiative.
