FDOT Plans Maintenance Throughout Escambia County

  • Eastbound traffic on I-10 over the railroad near Highway 29 will encounter lane restrictions from 7 p.m. Sunday, March 22 to 5 a.m. Monday, March 23 as crews perform bridge joint repair work. Exit 10A (Hwy 29 North) will be temporarily closed during the maintenance work. Eastbound traffic wishing to access Highway 29 South will utilize exit 10B.
  • Eastbound traffic on U.S. 90 over the Escambia River Bridge will encounter intermittent lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Monday, March 23 to 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 24 as crews perform bridge joint repair work. 
  • Traffic on Lillian Highway just west of Blue Angel Parkway will encounter alternating lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 25 as crews replace expansion joints on the Millview Bayou Bridge. Traffic flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone, especially at night, and to watch for construction equipment and traffic flaggers entering and exiting the roadway.
