Lane Closures Planned for I-10, Scenic Highway

Drivers on I-10 and Scenic Highway (U.S. 90) in Escambia County will encounter alternating, intermittent lane closures near the Scenic Highway overpass from 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 as crews pour the concrete deck for the new Scenic Highway overpass.

In addition, traffic on I-10 near the Scenic Highway overpass will be slowed by Florida Highway Patrol escort vehicles for pacing operations between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone, especially at night, and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
