FDOT Pacing Operations Planned for I-10 in Escambia

Published Feb 20, 2015

Interstate 10 (I-10), near the Scenic Highway overpass in Escambia County, will encounter vehicle pacing operations Monday, Feb. 23 through Friday, Feb 27 and Monday, March 2 through Wednesday, March 4 from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews perform deck work for the new Scenic Highway overpass.

Vehicle pacing operations, also known as a rolling roadblock, is formed by creating a gap between traffic and the work area so that short-duration construction activities can be performed. Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time.

All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
