Lane Closures on I-10
The right lane of westbound Interstate 10 (I-10) near the Scenic Highway overpass at exit 17 in Escambia County will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Wednesday, Jan. 28. The nightly closures will allow crews to position large beams for the new Scenic Highway overpass.
In addition, traffic in the left lane of I-10 westbound will be slowed by Florida Highway Patrol escort vehicles between the hours of 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time.
Stefani Road over Unnamed Branch Bridge Replacement Project Set to Begin
A Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to replace the existing bridge on Stefani Road over Unnamed Branch in Escambia County will begin the week of January 26.
The $919,509 project includes replacing the existing bridge, repaving the approaches, new guardrail, minor drainage improvements, sodding, and placement of new pavement markings.
Stefani Road will be closed to traffic during construction. Motorists may utilize Green Hills Road, Pine Forest Road and West Nine One-Half Mile Road as an alternate route. The project is scheduled to be complete summer 2015.
