FDOT to Hold Meeting on Airport Boulevard Improvements on Jan. 6

Published Jan 5, 2015

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting concerning the  proposed development of an Action Plan for State Road (S.R.) 750 (Airport Boulevard) from S.R. 8A (I-110) to the Pensacola International Airport (North 12th Avenue) in Escambia County. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1144 Airport Boulevard, Pensacola. There will be no formal presentation; however, an open house format with an informational video will be provided.

The intent of this meeting is to provide current information on the project and schedule. Representatives from FDOT will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and receive comments.

The purpose of the plan for S.R. 750 (Airport Boulevard) is to guide the development of a multi-modal transportation system that will serve the transportation needs of the corridor; provide for the efficient and effective movement of freight, and foster economic growth and development in the region. The plan will also seek enhancement of regional mobility, while minimizing other environmental impacts that might occur from roadway construction.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons who require special accommodations under the ADA or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Victoria Wilson, FDOT Project Manager, toll-free at (888) 638-0250, extension 1279, at least seven days prior to the meeting.
