Early Renewal Period for Beach Pass

Published Nov 20, 2014

Drivers can now renew their transponder for the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza and unlike previous years, the renewal will have to be completed in person at the Santa Rosa Island Authority office, located at 1 Via De Luna.

Escambia County is strongly recommending drivers with active passes renew before the end of the year to avoid a disruption in their transponder service.

Because of upcoming construction and improvements to the toll plaza, transponder users will also need to have a decal attached to the top right corner of their vehicle for 2015. The decal must be installed by a staff member of the Santa Rosa Island Authority.

Those wanting to sign up as a new annual pass holder, will be able to do so at the Santa Rosa Island Authority office beginning Monday, January 5.

The cost of the annual toll pass will remain $50 for the general public and $70 for vehicles belonging to commercial businesses. Currently, there are 10,558 active users of the annual toll pass.

Through the end of the year, the Santa Rosa Island Authority hours for the transponder renewal will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Applications can be picked up at any open toll booth, at the Santa Rosa Island Authority or found at www.sria-fla.com.
