Davis Highway to the eastbound Nine Mile Road merge ramp will be closed to traffic nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday, November 17, as crews perform curb and gutter and sidewalk construction. The temporary nighttime closures are anticipated to last approximately one month.
Motorists seeking access to Nine Mile Road will utilize Copter Road. Dentin Road users will access Davis Highway via Link Circle and Kelso Road. Dentin Road users will access Nine Mile Road via Link Circle, Kelso Road and Copter Road.
Variable Message Signs are on site to alert the public of the change in traffic pattern and detour signs are in place to direct traffic. Drivers are reminded to use caution and obey the posted speed limit when traveling through a work zone. Off duty law enforcement will be on site to assist with traffic control.
The work is part of the Davis Highway resurfacing project which includes resurfacing 1.8 miles of roadway, constructing sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act ramp improvements, minor drainage upgrades, signalization and guardrail improvements and placing new signs and pavement markings within the project limits.
