  • Westside Branch has closed its Cervantes Street location and will soon reopen at its new location, the Legion Field Neighborhood Resource Center, 1301 West Gregory Street, Pensacola. A grand reopening celebration will be announced at a later date.

Art Exhibit

Paintings by artist Marion Hawks and painted sand dollars by Debbie Andress will be on display at the Molino Branch during its regular business hours.

American Girl Book Club

  • Monthly on the third Saturday, 2 to 3 p.m., Southwest Branch, July 19

Girls ages 7 to 14 will learn about American life through the experience of Caroline and make crafts.

Book Discussion Group

Escambia County After School Art Students Exhibit

Hot Reads: Adult Summer Reading

  • Weekly on Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Main Library, July 18

Adults in this summer program will keep a reading journal and enjoy various types of books from mysteries to literary.

Kids: R.E.A.D. to the Dogs

  • Monthly on the third Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Tryon Branch, July 19
  • Monthly on the fourth Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. –  Southwest Branch, July 26

The Kids: Reading Educational Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program can improve your child’s reading skills by practicing reading to therapy dogs.
