District 1 to Host Public Outreach RESTORE Advisory Committee Meeting

Published May 22, 2014

A Public Outreach RESTORE Advisory Committee Meeting will be held in District 1 on Tuesday, May 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Charity Chapel, 5820 Montgomery Avenue, Pensacola.

The Resources, Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities and Revived Economies (RESTORE) Advisory Committee was formed to develop a plan, solicit public input and set goals for Escambia County’s use of any funds received from the RESTORE Act due to the Deepwater Horizon event and subsequent oil spill.

The Committee is tasked with reviewing projects and submitting recommendations to the Escambia Board of County Commissioners for consideration and has recently hosted a series of public outreach meetings in various Escambia County Commissioners’ districts.
