Permitting of Flood Damage Repairs

Published May 6, 2014

Residents who have suffered flood damage to their home or property must secure permits before making the most common repairs.

Property owners needing to repair or replace sheetrock will need a building permit to legally complete those repairs, while electrical permits will need to be obtained to replace electrical outlets and wiring that was damaged by the flood.

Residents can get these permits by going to the Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola.

Escambia County strongly suggests that people hire licensed contractors.
