Displaced Residents Urged to Call 211

Escambia County is urging residents displaced by the recent floods to call 211 to report on their situation, even if they have temporarily located shelter. Both homeowners and renters are encouraged to report their situation to the County.

Collecting information to establish an accurate count of displaced individuals and families will greatly assist the County and relief agencies to provide housing assistance in the near, mid- and long-term future. The floods have damaged homes and rental properties throughout the County and are expected to create difficulties for those seeking to locate affordable housing options in the coming months.
