Escambia County Twitter Followers Near 2,400

More than 2,370 followers have signed up to receive Escambia County news updates via Twitter. Followers of Escambia County Twitter feeds receive valuable information, such as current County news, events, program information, emergency alerts and severe weather updates.

In addition to @myescambia, where interested followers can receive general news and information, the County has been building an active following on three other Twitter accounts over the past six months. The accounts are:

  • @bereadyescambia – promotes emergency information and safety tips
  • @mypensacolabch – promotes those items specific to Pensacola Beach
  • @myperdidokey – promotes those items specific to Perdido Key

The County is now introducing five new feeds, one for each Commission District, to provide more geographically specific information. The new feeds can been found on Twitter at:

  • @mydistrict1 – promotes news of interest to residents of District 1
  • @mydistrict2 – promotes news of interest to residents of District 2
  • @mydistrict3 – promotes news of interest to residents of District 3
  • @myecdistrict4 – promotes news of interest to residents of District 4
  • @mydistrict5 – promotes news of interest to residents of District 5
