Beekeeping in the Panhandle

\r\nJoin Escambia County Extension and University of Florida/IFAS Extension for the 2014 Beekeeping in the Panhandle Short Course. Classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday evenings will be held at Escambia Extension, 3740 Stefani Road, Cantonment, from 6 to 8 p.m. \r\n\r\nThe course schedule is as follows: \r\n• Monday, February 24: Honey Bee Biology and Anatomy\r\n• Monday, March 3: Varroa Mite Biology and Control \r\n• Monday, March 10: Honey Bees of the World and Beekeeping History \r\n• Saturday, March 15: Bee-Yard Field Day – A hands on learning opportunity \r\n• Tuesday, March 18: Yearly Management of the honey bee \r\n\r\nRegistration for all five classes is $25 per person, or $40 for a family. This fee covers course materials and refreshments.
