Final Winter Storm 2014 Update Thursday Evening

Published Jan 31, 2014

Conditions on all major roads and bridges in Escambia County have improved to allow for normal traffic flow in most areas.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is phasing in traffic flow along Interstate 10 and Interstate 110 in Escambia County.  All updates on this process will need to come from the Florida Department of Transportation. FDOT updates can be found through social media on Twitter @MyFDOT_NWFL.

Even though most of the ice that has plagued local roads and bridges has melted, drivers are asked to continue to use extra caution when moving about the County.

The Escambia County Emergency Operation Center will close at 5 p.m. Thursday.

All County offices and schools will be open for normal operations tomorrow, Friday, January 31.

Any future updates will be posted on myescambia.com and issued via email and Twitter @MyEscambia and @BeReadyEscambia.
