Escambia County Emergency Management Officials continue to monitor winter weather conditions effect Escambia County.
The National Weather Service is forecasting for frozen precipitation to continue into mid-afternoon turning to a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow into the overnight hours.
Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) and ADA & Community Transit have suspended operations at 5 p.m. and will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29, and will resume operations Thursday, January 30.
The Pensacola International Airport is expecting delays in the morning on Wednesday, January 28. Passengers should check the status of their flight at www.flypensacola.com for real-time flight information.
The Emerald Coast Utility Authority will not provide sanitation collections on Wednesday, January 28, and pick up schedules will be delayed one day once services resume Thursday.
Gulf Power is experiencing intermittent power outages throughout Escambia County. Customers experiencing problems may call Gulf Power’s customer service line at 1 (800) 225-5797 for assistance.
