Florida Association of Counties features Escambia in 2014 Calendar

Published Nov 26, 2013

The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) recently announced that an image from Escambia County will be included in its 2014 FAC Calendar: Beautiful Roads & Trails.

Each of Florida’s 67 counties were asked to submit its best photos of scenic roads and trails in the county, which created a record response of photos submitted for consideration. Of the more than 200 submissions, 14 photos were selected for the 2014 FAC Calendar including Escambia County’s iconic 12th Avenue Live Oak Tunnel, which will be showcased for the month of December.

“The FAC calendar is a wonderful opportunity for Florida counties to show the rest of the state some of what makes their county so great,” said Escambia County Commissioner Grover C. Robinson, IV.  “Escambia County has much history, beauty and natural resources and the Live Oak Tunnel serves as an excellent representation of our area.”

FAC represents counties on a range of important issues before the state legislature, the governor and Cabinet, various state agencies, commissions, and the courts. Locally elected county commissioners guide the creation of FAC legislative positions and legal advocacy strategies which are committed to sound public policy that makes Florida a better place to live and work.  To learn more about FAC, visit www.fl-counties.com.
