Living in the Coastal Zone

Escambia County Extension will host a workshop about changes to the National Flood Insurance Program on Monday, November 18, at Downtown Library, 239 Spring Street from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Thomas Ruppert, a Coastal Planning Specialist with Florida Sea Grant, will cover topics such as coastal erosion, flood-related issues and newly passed legislation changing the National Flood Insurance Program, including possible changes to property insurance rates.

A similar program targeted to realtors will also be held on Monday, November 18, at the Pensacola Association of Realtors office, 107 West Main Street at 9 a.m.
