Take a Bite Out of Hunger

Published Nov 15, 2013

Join Escambia County Extension along with University of Florida Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), the Florida Peanut Producer Association and EscaRosa Young Farmers and Ranchers to help take a bite out of hunger by participating in a local peanut butter drive.

Bring unopened jars of peanut butter to various Escambia County locations now through November 15. All peanut butter collected will be donated to a local food pantry during Farm-City Week.

The average child will eat 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before he or she graduates high school. Keep children eating locally grown peanuts in healthy, nutritious and yummy peanut butter.
