Invasive Lionfish Collecting and Handling Workshop October 28

The Reef Environment Education Foundation and Escambia County Marine Resource Division will host an Invasive Lionfish Collecting and Handling Workshop, Monday, October 28, in room 104 of the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place.

From 6 to 8 p.m., divers, fishers and ocean enthusiasts are encouraged to attend to learn about the increasing lionfish crisis.

Workshop topics include the background of the lionfish invasion throughout our oceans including the Gulf of Mexico, ecological impacts, collecting tools and techniques and more.  REEF Communications Manager Keri Kenning will also speak on the subject.
