Escambia, Santa Rosa Counties Partner for National Voter Registration Day

Across the country today, organizations and elections offices will participate in a variety of outreach activities in celebration of National Voter Registration Day. Closer to home, Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will partner with the League of Women Voters and Wal-Mart to hold voter registration events at area Wal-Mart stores.

Today, Tuesday, September 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., residents may register to vote or make updates to their current voter record at any one of the locations below:

Escambia County:
Blue Angel Wal-Mart
Navy Boulevard Wal-Mart
Mobile Highway Wal-Mart
Creighton Road Wal-Mart
Highway 29/Pensacola Boulevard Wal-Mart

Santa Rosa County:
Highway 90, Pace Wal-Mart
Navarre Parkway, Navarre Wal-Mart

The public is also invited to participate in voter registration drives sponsored by the local elections offices and Pensacola State College on September 24 and 25.

September 24:
Pensacola Campus 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
South Santa Rosa Campus 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

September 25:
Warrington Campus 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to the opportunities listed above, citizens may register to vote at a variety of locations throughout our community every day. Applications are available from the drivers licenses offices, public assistance agencies, public library locations, a variety of government offices and anywhere a hunting or fishing license is sold. You may download an application from EscambiaVotes.com and www.VoteSantaRosa.com. Completed applications should be printed and mailed to the correct elections office.
