ECUA Boil Water Alert Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, a precautionary boil water notice (PBWN) is in effect for ECUA water customers  residing on Ailanthus Drive (address range 12207 to 12398) and Ailanthus Court/Circle (address range 12292 to 12326).

On Wednesday, September 18, water service was interrupted due to a water main break.

Residents are advised to boil water for one minute at a rolling boil or to use 6 drops of regular unscented household bleach per gallon of water for water to be used for drinking or cooking purposes.

Bacteriological sampling is underway and the advisory will be lifted as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours.

ECUA crews have made the repairs and are flushing the lines.

Residents are advised that there is a possibility of discolored water and to flush their home's plumbing by running their taps for a few minutes.
