ALERT: Five ECUA Sewer Overflow Spills in One Day

Escambia County has received notice that Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) suffered five separate sewer overflow spills on Tuesday, September 3, resulting in 2,400 gallons of untreated wastewater being released into the environment.

Tuesday’s ECUA spills took place at the following locations:

  • 1,200 gallons, 8800 Block of Winding Lane
  • 500 gallons released near the intersection of LeGrande Drive and Chezarae Drive
  • 500 gallons, 5800 Block of Muldoon Road
  • 100 gallons, 2900 Block of Old Chemstrand Road
  • 100 gallons, Paul Star Drive (near Johnson Avenue)
