Application packets for the 2013 – 2014 Grants for Excellence teacher grant program are now available per the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation.
The Grants for Excellence program was created to provide resources for Escambia County classrooms that are not available through regular funding sources. Through the program, the Foundation funds preK-12 teacher grants up to $1,000 each and department-wide grants of up to $3,000 each and will award a record amount of grants for school and classroom projects for up to $50,000 this fall alone.
The Foundation raises funds for Grants for Excellence by securing donations from businesses, foundations, and individuals, and receives dollar-for-dollar matching funds from the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF) through the Florida Legislature’s School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program.
The Foundation will present grant recipients with their checks at the 2013 Grants for Excellence Reception on November 7, 2013.
