Escambia County has experienced some issues related to this weekend’s rain event. Escambia County Emergency management is keeping a close eye on the situation and here is the latest areas of impact as of Sunday afternoon:
- The parking lot at Forest Creek Apartments, 34 Patton Drive, has received some flooding, no impacts to residents at this time. A voluntary evacuation took place at Forest Creek Apartments early Sunday morning. Between ten and fifteen people took part. The American Red Cross is supplying shelter at Warrington United Methodist Church for those needing shelter.
- There has been some minor road flooding on Doug Ford Drive in southwest Escambia County, but the road is still passable.
- Flooding on Gulf Beach Highway at Patton Drive, but drivers can still pass through the area.
- State Street flooding on the road, but there is no real impact to residents. Escambia County will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when necessary.
