Dangerous Canine Loose in North Escambia County

UPDATE: As of 7 a.m. today, July 19, the canine was secured by Animal Control and taken to the Escambia County Animal Shelter.

 

 

A 63-year-old woman is being treated after a vicious dog attack this morning in the Nokomis area of north Escambia County.

One of the involved canines was a black and brown Brindle Pit Bull that is loose in the area. The canine is dangerous and should not be approached.  If seen, call Animal Control at (850) 595-0097.

The other canine involved in the attack is being detained at the Escambia County Animal Shelter and the victim was transported via Lifeflight.
