  • Two Escambia County School District students recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Orlando as part of the District 1 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).  FBLA strives to develop leadership skills in high school and middle school students.  Congratulations to Maria Mace, Ferry Pass Middle School, and Kasie Braun, Northview High School for earning first place in public speaking and second place for business communication, respectively.  Braun will also compete at the national competition in the National Leadership Conference scheduled June 27-30 in Anaheim, CA.
  • The Escambia County Council of Teachers of Mathematics held its annual Sunshine Mathematics Competition (Super Stars III) at the University of West Florida Field House.  Five hundred eighty Escambia School District students in grades two, three and four competed with teachers, administrators, community volunteers and parents participating in the event.  For additional information, please contact Ramona Wright, Mathematics Specialist, 850-429-2945.
