Update on Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce Financial Audit

Published Apr 5, 2013

At the March 14 Committee of the Whole, Escambia County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller Pam Childers issued a statement regarding the plans to expand the scope of the financial audit of the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce’s gift card program. Childers stated that defining the scope of the audit can be completed within two weeks. However, the audit process itself will take up to 60 days.

At the meeting, County budget staff made a presentation to the commissioners outlining the inception of the program, which began with the award of grant funds to the Tourist Development Council following the Deepwater Horizon Spill in 2010.
