Bringing Back the Bayous Public Panel Discussions on Improving Water Quality in Bayou Grande and Bayou Texar

Escambia County Extension Service and a panel of local specialists will hold a public discussion on water quality issues facing our bayous and how the community can help improve them. 

The first event will be held on Friday, February 22, at the Lexington Terrace Community Center, 700 S. Old Corry Field Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. The second event will be held on Saturday, March 9, at the Bayview Park Senior Center, 2001 E. Lloyd Street, from 10 a.m. to noon. 

The specialists for the program panel will include the coastal sustainability agent from the Escambia County Extension Service, a Habitat Restoration project manager, a Clean Marina project manager from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and water quality monitors from the Marine Science Academy at Washington High School and the University of Florida Lakewatch Program.
