West Florida Public Library System Blue Ribbon Task Force to Hold Planning Sessions

The West Florida Public Library System Blue Ribbon Task Force has scheduled two upcoming planning sessions. The public is invited to attend. Both meetings will be held at the Pensacola Public Library Meeting Room, 239 N. Spring Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. The session dates are:

• Friday, February 22 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It is the committee’s role to envision, evaluate and assess community needs regarding programs and services for library operations. The committee will have the potential to revamp and streamline the processes that enable libraries to respond quickly to rapidly changing environments of providing library services. The final document produced as a result of this committee will provide a future plan for the West Florida Library System.  The committee is expected to meet for approximately six months in order to complete this task.
