At a meeting on Tuesday, January 22, twenty-two environmental groups selected Christian Wagley as the person they would like to have represent the environmental interests on the Escambia County RESTORE Act Advisory Committee. Mr. John LeRoy was selected as the alternate.

The Committee will review projects and submit recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration. The Committee will consist of nine members who are residents of Escambia County, with committee members individually representing the financial industry, the business community, transportation, government, the City of Pensacola, local environmental advocacy organizations, citizens-at-large, and two unrestricted at-large positions to be determined by Board approval.

Mr. Wagley's nomination will be forwarded to the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners for final approval.
