Beekeeping in the Panhandle

Escambia County Extension will be hosting a four-week beekeeping in the Panhandle interactive video course. Classes will be held on Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Escambia County Extension office, 3740 Stefani Road, starting Feburary 18. The cost of this course is $25 per person or $40 for a family which covers course materials and refeshments.

The couse schedule is as follows:

·         Feburary 18      Queen and Package Bee Production

·         Feburary 25      Nutrition/Immunity in Honey Bees

·         March 4            Integrated Pest Management for Disease/Pest Control

·         March 11          History and Theory of Honey Production
