Vegetable Producers Round-Up

Published Dec 28, 2012

Escambia County Extension, Santa Rosa Extension and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Science (UF/IFAS) will present a vegetable producers round-up on Tuesday, January 15, at the Santa Rosa County Extension Office (Jay Community Center), 5259 Booker Lane, Jay, Florida. Producers will have the opportunity to learn about new marketing opportunities for their specialty crop operation and interact with local Northwest Florida produce distributors. During the round-up professionals will teach new pest management techniques, the latest in food safety and how plastic mulch is mechanically laid. Participants will also have an opportunity to take a peek at a model of a homemade packing-cooler trailer.
