Holiday Closures for Escambia County Offices

Below is a listing of the offices and departments closed on Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25, for the Christmas holidays and Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1, for the New Year’s holiday. Normal operations resume on Wednesday, December 26, and Wednesday, January 2.

  • Escambia County Board of County Commissioners
  • Escambia County Supervisor of Elections
  • Escambia County Property Appraiser

Exceptions:

  • 911 Dispatch, EMS and Fire Services will remain operational
  • Escambia County Tax Collector will be closed on Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25, and Tuesday, January 1. The office will be open for normal business hours on Monday, December 31.
  • Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller will be closed on Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1, The office will be open for normal business hours on Monday, December 31.
  • Perdido Landfill will be open for normal business hours on Monday, December 24, and Monday December 31.
  • Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT)
    • Monday, December 24, and Monday, December 31 – Service ends at 5 p.m.
      • Route 43 – departs PSC transfer center at 4:30 p.m. and ends at West Florida Hospital at 4:57 p.m.
      • Route 45 – departs Rosa Parks terminal on the half hour only (8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., etc.)
      • Route 59A – will not run
      • Route 59 Express – last run departs NATTC at 3:55 p.m.
      • Route 60 – will not run at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.; will leave Rosa Parks terminal at 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
      • No UWF Trolley service until Monday, January 7.
