The Florida Department of Transportation has released the following information concering construction activities on State Road (S.R.) 298 (Lillian Highway).
Construction activities on State Road (S.R.) 298 (Lillian Highway) will begin the week of November 26 in west Pensacola. Improvements will include resurfacing the roadway from east of S.R. 727 (Fairfield Drive) to S.R. 295 (New Warrington Road), minor drainage, signalization upgrades, installations of pedestrian features, safety upgrades and placement of new signs and pavement markings. Motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions. However; there will be no lane closures between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The $1 million construction contract is expected to be complete spring 2013. Drivers are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
