Escambia County Commissioners to Attend Florida Association of Counties Annual Legislative Conference

Escambia County Commissioners will be attending the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) Legislative Conference being held in Sarasota, Florida, on November 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency.

This is the final opportunity for the membership and Legislative Policy Committees to meet and voice their opinion on the policies FAC lobbies during the legislative session. On the final day, commissioners vote and adopt the final FAC policies.

An orientation for newly-elected commissioners will be held on Wednesday, November 28 in conjunction with the Legislative Conference.  Participants will be exposed to the powers and duties of a commissioner, ethics and Sunshine Laws and the valuable resources and services available through FAC.  This program is designed to provide an overview of the responsibilities of a county commissioner. Participants will learn about the valuable services available through FAC and ways for a new commissioner to immediately get involved in the Association.
