The public is encouraged to attend a meeting on November 13 at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place, Room 104; an open house will begin at 6:00 p.m. CST with the public meeting and comment period from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Phase II Draft Environmental Restoration Plan and Environmental Review (DERP/ER) will be presented at the meeting.
The proposed plan includes the second set of projects to receive funding from the $1 billion BP committed to Early Restoration on April 20, 2011. The DERP/ER addresses coastal conservation by proposing to restore bird and sea turtle nesting habitat which were damaged as a result of response efforts following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The meeting is hosted by the NRDA Deepwater Horizon Trustees.

Public comment will be accepted until December 10, 2012.
