The Escambia County Equestrian Center will host two separate horse events this upcoming weekend, featuring something for both English and Western riding enthusiasts. Both events are free to spectators. A full-service concession stand will be open during the events.
The Pensacola Hunter Jumper Association horse show will run Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21. This is Pensacola’s only Hunter Jumper club and their shows are very popular, drawing approximately 200 competitors from as far away as Louisiana and Georgia. Classes start at 8 a.m. on both days and run until they are finished. For information, call Betty Robinson at 850-477-4036.
On Saturday, October 20, the B Bar K Riding Club, one of the oldest clubs in the area, will hold their monthly playday, featuring barrel racing, poles, an arena race, leadline classes and more. The event begins at 10 a.m. and non-members are welcome to enter. For information, call Rita Heist at (850) 944-1783.
