Public Invited to the Carpenter Creek Headwaters Project Open House June 5

Published May 16, 2023

The public is invited to learn about the future of the Carpenter Creek Headwaters Project at an open house event Monday, June 5, from 5-7 p.m. at Ferry Pass Middle School inside the cafeteria, 8355 Yancey Ave. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.

The main purpose of the open house is to showcase the Carpenter Creek Headwaters Project concept plan. During a presentation by Moffat & Nichol, the team will discuss their methodology to improve water quality and create a recreational park. The project is funded by two Florida Department of Environmental Protection - Natural Resource Damage Assessment grants.

Doors will open to the public at 5 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 5:15 p.m. Sign-in sheets and comment forms will be available at the door. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
